Requirements

Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of work experience and possess coding skills in at least one programming language, preferably Python, along with SQL. Familiarity with common string manipulation functions like regular expressions (regex) and prior exposure to data analysis in a tabular form using tools such as Pandas or Apache Spark/Databricks are required. Knowledge of basic statistics relevant to data science, including precision, recall, and F-score, is necessary. Familiarity with visualization tools like Tableau/Power BI and experience with Agile tools such as JIRA are considered a plus. Strong English communication skills are also essential.

Responsibilities

The Data Analyst II will support data scientists within the Research Data Platform, engaging in a variety of analytical activities. This includes diving into large datasets to answer questions from product owners or data scientists, performing large-scale data preparation to test hypotheses or support prototypes, and reviewing the precision and recall of data science algorithms at scale to surface dashboard metrics. The role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with Data Scientists and Product Managers, aligning activities, and presenting achievements and project status updates to various stakeholders. Key results include understanding task requirements, identifying, gathering, preparing, and refining data, interpreting large datasets, reporting findings through effective storytelling, formulating recommendations and requirements, and identifying and addressing new opportunities.
