Candidates should possess a BS degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field, with a Masters, MBA, or PhD being preferred. A minimum of 3 years of experience in data science or analytics roles is required, along with fluency in SQL and solid programming experience in Python. Proficiency in at least one visualization tool like Tableau or QlikView is necessary, as is demonstrable experience with statistics, experimental design, machine learning, or deep learning. Experience analyzing large datasets, preferably in a Hadoop or Spark environment, and deploying production-ready systems at scale is important. Strong communication skills, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, effective collaboration skills, and a passion for gaming are also essential.
The Data Analyst will work with large datasets to identify opportunities for improving player experiences and deliver analytics and data science projects aligned with roadmap and product goals. They will drive quantitatively informed decisions by maintaining data sources and dashboards, and collaborate closely with game teams to design, test, verify, and implement machine learning models and product features. The role involves communicating findings to both technical and non-technical peers, ensuring solutions are impactful, visual, and maintainable, and working with Product Managers, Game Designers, and Engineers to deliver business impact.
