Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, along with proven experience in a cybersecurity engineering role involving hands-on security implementation. They must demonstrate a strong understanding of security frameworks, risk management, and compliance standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR, and possess hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and other security tools. Relevant certifications like CISSP, CISM, CEH, or OSCP are considered advantageous, alongside strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in an Agile environment.
The Cybersecurity Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network solutions to mitigate cybersecurity risks, developing security strategies, policies, and frameworks to enhance organizational security, installing and managing firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security technologies, conducting penetration testing and vulnerability assessments, monitoring networks and systems for security breaches, investigating incidents, and coordinating response efforts, staying updated with the latest security standards and best practices, implementing and enforcing security protocols, and collaborating with IT and development teams to integrate security into system architectures and software development processes. They will also provide security awareness training and guidance to internal teams and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
