University degree (Bachelor or Master degree in Chemistry or in Engineering would be an advantage)
Previous work experience with HTS Classification
Experience in customs, trade compliance or a similar department would be preferred
Solid and practical knowledge of EU customs regulations for import and export
Experience in optimization/automation of business processes. Knowledge of tools such as Power BI, SQL, Oracle or Python is welcomed
Proactive and process-driven mindset with a strong attention to detail
Solution driven, open-minded approach; ability to work as a part of a team
Good knowledge of MS Office and SAP
Advanced English

Responsibilities
Accurately determine Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification of P&G products in accordance with the provisions outlined in the General Rules of Interpretation, Section and Chapter Notes and Binding Tariff Information issued by the customs authorities. Support classifications with justifications
Update and monitor maintenance of HTS classification data in the appropriate databases used by P&G
Prepare applications for Customs rulings request (BTI)
Internal collaboration: Closely partner with Material Owners and R&D Team to understand the material specification needed to determine HTS codes
Liaise with external customs providers on HTS classification services
General knowledge in the area of origin and preferential origin to respond on request related to that matter
Support internal, external, audits of customs declarations and customs payment
Monitor changes in local rules and legislation and provide timely communication of events with potential business impact
Act as business liaison on customs matters
Support customs projects which drive simplification, automation and digitization in our scope of work
Support internal stakeholders on customs related questions
