Position Overview

The Zebra is seeking passionate individuals to join our team as Customer Advisors. You will be the primary advocate for our customers after they have purchased their insurance policies, assisting them with their needs and ensuring a positive experience with The Zebra. Schedule

  • Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • Shifts: 8-hour working shifts, scheduled quarterly based on a shift bid system.
  • Operating Hours:
    • Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM - 11:00 PM
    • Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM

Location

  • Remote: All licensed employees must conduct business from their primary residence in Texas.
  • Relocation: New hires will need to relocate to Texas by their start date.

Compensation

  • Hourly Rate: $23.00 per hour.
  • Bonus: Eligible for a 10% annual earnings bonus, paid quarterly (2.5% per quarter) based on quarterly earnings and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound phone calls, emails, and chats from customers seeking assistance with their insurance policies or requesting information about purchasing a policy.
  • Assist customers by processing payments and endorsements.
  • Answer general questions regarding insurance policies.
  • Rewrite insurance policies for existing customers.
  • Contact customers to retain their business.
  • Follow up on outstanding policy requirements by contacting customers or insurance carriers.
  • De-escalate customer concerns and resolve issues independently.
  • Audit policies for quality assurance.
  • Implement retention strategies to keep current customers.
  • Provide backup support for the sales team as needed.
  • Assist sales and contact agents with service-related issues.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of customer service experience (Insurance experience is a plus!).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A genuine passion for helping people and solving problems.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Quick learner with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable using online tools and platforms.

Experience That Will Impress

  • Current TX (General Lines) Property & Casualty license.
  • Experience working within the insurance industry.

Interview Process

  1. Recruiter Screen: If selected, you will complete a pre-qualification screening form.
  2. Team Interview: A 45-minute Zoom interview focusing on call center experience.
  3. Final Interview: A 30-minute Zoom interview to discuss career growth and address any follow-up questions.
