Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in an automated customer service environment; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) or multi-language skills; must be able to pass a validated language test/assessment
  • Full availability to work an 8-hour shift (Monday-Friday 8:30-6:30 PM)
  • Ability to commute to hybrid office location (in-office 3 days per week); candidates not within reasonable commuting distance will not be considered unless accommodation granted

Responsibilities

  • Successfully complete required basic training
  • Respond to customer questions via telephone and written correspondence regarding insurance benefits, provider contracts, eligibility, and claims
  • Analyze problems and provide information/solutions
  • Operate a PC/image station to obtain and extract information; document information, activities, and changes in the database
  • Thoroughly document inquiry outcomes for accurate tracking and analysis
  • Develop and maintain positive customer relations; coordinate with various company functions to ensure customer requests and questions are handled appropriately and timely
  • Research and analyze data to address operational challenges and customer service issues
  • Provide external and internal customers with requested information
  • Under immediate supervision, receive and place follow-up telephone calls/e-mails to answer routine customer questions
  • Use computerized systems for tracking, information gathering, and troubleshooting
  • Seek, understand, and respond to the needs and expectations of internal and external customers
  • Perform basic job functions with help from co-workers, specialists, and managers on non-basic issues
