Requirements

Highly motivated with strong situational awareness and EQ to work within a diverse team
Ability to oversee all aspects of the cultivation process from seedling/clones to harvest
Experience developing and implementing cultivation strategies for optimal plant health and maximum yields
Capability to manage and provide guidance/training to the Cultivation Department team
Knowledge of coordinating with Production Planning, Data Integrity, and Operations teams
Familiarity with reporting/following up on defective environmental equipment or structural problems
Expertise in training supervisors and ensuring proper documentation
Proficiency in directing selection, rate, frequency, and application of fertilizers
Understanding of The Worker Protection Standards Act of 1992, including proper mixing, handling, and loading of chemicals
On-site availability at the Waterfall, PA facility

Responsibilities

Ensure all growing department personnel are trained and certified by Human Resources
Train growing department personnel on The Worker Protection Standards Act of 1992, including proper mixing, handling, and loading of chemicals
Ensure all supervisors complete required Employee Evaluations as directed by the Director of Operations and/or HR
Ensure growing department supervisors are correctly trained and maintain proper documentation
Identify suitable employees to the Director of Cultivation and Operations Director for career path development
Coordinate with Production Planning, Data Integrity, and Operations teams to review product assemblies for accuracy and cost analysis
Manage moisture/irrigation: Ensure staff follow correct irrigation timing/conditions to avoid disease/fungal infections; assist in emergencies (holidays, labor shortages, weather); report water system maintenance issues to Facilities Manager; submit requests for irrigation tools/parts to Purchasing and directors
Manage fertigation: Direct proper selection, rate, frequency, and application of fertilizers; ensure fertilizer injection systems are calibrated and report repairs to Facilities Manager
