Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in the Human Services field
  • Preferred: LMSW, LCSW, PLPC, LPC
  • CPR/First Aid and CPI certified
  • Successful completion of background checks including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint checks
  • Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance
  • Ability to perform sedentary work: exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount frequently; sitting most of the time but may involve brief walking or standing

Responsibilities

  • Provide phone, face-to-face, and mobile crisis intervention as clinically appropriate and document all contacts on appropriate forms
  • Deliver individual, group, family, and practical counseling to meet client needs and treatment goals
  • Assess and facilitate admission to the Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit and evaluate clients for discharge based on safety
  • Consult with law enforcement and hospital emergency rooms regarding alternatives for client disposition
  • Participate in staff development activities and contribute to team growth
  • Provide rapid aid in emotional crisis situations through crisis intervention services
  • Attend scheduled conference calls, webinars, meetings, and supervision sessions
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Director of Crisis Services or designee
