Requirements

Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, a current state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record, and at least 2 years of prior work experience in courier, freight handling, or a similar role. They must also be able to work assigned hours as determined by the manager and be capable of performing physical activities including lifting, bending, and maneuvering freight up to 60 lbs, as well as standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and sitting for extended periods.

Responsibilities

The Courier, Freight, and Driver Dock Support Specialist will navigate predefined routes via automobile to deliver mail and parcels, ensuring timely and safe delivery; manage the loading, unloading, and proper distribution of freight, adhering to safety and efficiency protocols; serve as a critical point of support for dock operations, including assisting with the organization and management of shipping and receiving areas; maintain accurate logs and time stamps for items received and delivered, supporting chain of custody requirements and ensuring compliance with company standards; provide exceptional customer service to both clients and SPS employees, enhancing the professional image of the company; proactively seek out additional tasks during downtime and provide support across various operational areas as needed; and maintain the routine maintenance and operational readiness of delivery vehicles, including inspections and compliance with all safety regulations.
