Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of previous product, warehouse and/or sales related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong background in gas, welding and safety supply industry with retail experience
  • SAP experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of Google and/or MS Office Applications

Responsibilities

  • Sell medical, industrial and specialty gases, welding equipment and hard goods and tools to customers
  • Respond to inquiries or concerns from walk-in customers or those that call in
  • Provide additional warehouse support as needed
  • Solicit sales from walk-in and telephone call-in customers, assisting with identification of product needs and locating merchandise
  • Receive payment for merchandise or services sold and enter sale into the computer
  • Be responsible for payments received and adhere to all administrative and accounting related procedures
  • Restock store merchandise as needed
  • Arrange stock on shelves or racks in the sales area and keep merchandise in order
  • Mark or ticket merchandise
  • Maintain showroom cleanliness by procedures set forth by management
