- Peer Support Specialist certification with Traditional Health Worker (THW) status
- Personal experience using mental health services
- At least two years providing peer support
- Knowledge of the DSM
- Ability to develop effective person-directed plans
- Mastery of motivational interviewing
- Lived experience supporting desire to help others
- Thrives in diverse, high-energy environments
- Leadership and decision-making skills with empathy and decisiveness, prioritizing client care
- Strong interpersonal skills for verbal and written communication with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders

Responsibilities
- Provide therapeutic and supportive services for adults with severe mental illness and addiction challenges
- Facilitate crucial assessments, therapeutic interventions, and personalized plans to help clients achieve goals
- Collaborate with Peer Navigators to deliver peer-driven services and create impactful recovery plans
- Lead group and individual therapy sessions grounded in peer support principles and wellness recovery concepts
- Advocate for clients, guiding them through complex systems to secure needed support
- Work in both community and clinical settings, adapting to client and organizational needs
- Navigate unpredictable situations with resilience and flexible time management
