LaunchDarkly is seeking a talented Solutions Engineer to serve as a trusted technical advisor to corporate and mid-market prospects and customers. This role is integral to our growth strategy, supporting sales efforts to acquire new customers and expand existing relationships. The ideal candidate possesses expertise across multiple verticals, excels in active listening, solution building, and demonstrates strong customer-centric technical expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in a solutions engineering, sales engineering, or systems architecture customer-facing role.
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure & Google Cloud).
  • Experience leading & documenting proof of concepts and building technical & deal champions.
  • Experience with security and compliance frameworks PII, PCI, HIPAA.
  • Strong technical background in areas such as the SDLC, cloud architecture, or DevOps.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Specific Requirement: 20% travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical lead in the sales process, from discovery and demos to proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and partner with Customer Success & Professional Services to drive expansion.
  • Translate complex requirements into actionable technology solutions.
  • Conduct customer-facing presentations, demonstrations, and white-boarding sessions.
  • Partner with account executives to develop and present compelling technical proposals tailored to business and IT objectives.
  • Establish credibility and build trust as a trusted advisor with prospects through meaningful engagement.
  • Build internal champions to support deal progression and timelines.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and internal product/engineering teams to ensure feedback is incorporated into product development.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of company products, integrations, and industry trends within various industry verticals.
  • Lead or support technical responses to security questionnaires and RFPs.
  • Travel as required to support customer meetings and industry events.
