Candidates must be on Active Duty and within 180 days of their separation or retirement date, with commander approval, to be eligible for the DOD Skillbridge Apprenticeship. A Bachelor's degree in technical studies and/or 3+ years of relevant experience in IT, security, system engineering/administration, or sales engineering is required. The role necessitates a comprehensive understanding of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems, knowledge of malware, threat intelligence, and/or sandbox analysis, and the ability to write and modify basic scripts in languages like PowerShell, Python, and Bash. Experience with virtualization/VDI technologies, large-scale cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and Active Directory is needed. Customer-facing experience, comfort leading presentations, and minimal travel are also required. Certifications such as CEH, CISSP, OSCP, SANS, or participation in security events are considered a bonus.
The Corporate Sales Engineer will articulate how current security solutions are designed, deployed, and why they fail to provide value to potential customers. They will be an expert in the endpoint security space, covering areas like AV, EDR, incident response, forensics, SIEM, firewall, and HIPS/IDS. Responsibilities include articulating security problems to prospects, identifying solutions from CrowdStrike's product line, and working collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Support, and Engineering teams. The role involves conducting demonstrations and proofs of value, presenting technical concepts to various external audiences up to C-level executives, and managing time and organizational tasks effectively. They will also be responsible for changing what the security market and customers believe is possible with next-generation endpoint technology and acquiring new logos within the SMB segments.
