Requirements

5+ years of related work experience working with/on PLC’s, HMI’s, Servos, VFD’s, electrical, hydraulics, controls, and pneumatics
Electrical Engineering Technology diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or Equivalent experience as an Industrial Electrician
Understanding of PLC code, Schematic wiring, One-line, and P&ID process diagrams
Experience with AB PLCs, “Studio 5000”, HMI, VFD’s, Servo, Sensors, Instrumentation, and industrial control systems
Knowledge of and application of electrical standards, including National Electrical Code and UL508a
Understanding of safe electrical work practices including LOTO and Arc Flash safety - NFPA 70e
Knowledge of Industrial Ethernet Networks and network communication standards
Skilled in use of electrical test equipment including voltmeters, amp meters, process meters, network analyzers and other testing devices
Understanding of calibration procedures for process instruments (temperature, pressure, flow, level, and composition) and process controls

Responsibilities

Providing effective automation and controls support to plant operations
Identifying, troubleshooting, and repairing problems in all areas of Electrical, Automation, Networks, Process, Instrumentation and Controls Systems
Performing preventive maintenance and calibration of plant controls systems and instrumentation
Supporting troubleshooting, development of process/system improvements, preventive and predictive maintenance development, and contractor performance monitoring
Maintaining documentation of all operational activities for future reference
