Requirements

  • Part qualified accountant with progress toward a professional accounting designation (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
  • Able to effectively work independently, manage and prioritise competing tasks and deliverables
  • Great analytical skills, problem solving and an eye for detail
  • Proficient in the use of Excel; experience in use of SAP and digital analytics tools is desirable
  • Confidence liaising with stakeholders outside of finance
  • Able to think laterally, challenge the status quo to drive efficiencies across processes

Responsibilities

  • Monthly and annual reporting of key property and technology expense lines
  • Supporting the accounting for the key lease and capital areas, including management of a £10bn asset register and £3bn lease registers
  • Reconciliation of Balance Sheets on a monthly basis including resolving issues with stakeholders
  • Business partnering with multiple teams across finance and beyond
  • Driving process improvement and efficiencies through the use of digital tools and automation
  • Combine accounting knowledge with communication and prioritisation skills to ensure a strong control environment and accurate reporting of the Property and Technology P&Ls and Fixed asset/Lease accounting
