Requirements

Candidates should possess over 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years managing a finance and accounting team. Experience with NetSuite (ARM), SFDC, and/or Avalara is required, along with managing the technical accounting aspects of a Big 4 Audit. Strong SaaS model experience, including knowledge of traditional SaaS metrics, is essential. Experience with implementing technical accounting guidelines like ASC 606, 842, and 730, as well as international business experience including regulatory compliance and inter-company consolidations, is strongly preferred. Big-4 auditing experience is also highly desirable.

Responsibilities

The Controller will oversee all accounting operations, including annual audit management, general ledger accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, cash management, and financial reporting. Responsibilities include ensuring financial records comply with GAAP, leading the annual audit process with external auditors, and managing a timely monthly/quarterly close. The role involves overseeing billing, cash collections, preparing cash-flow reports, managing the quote-to-cash process, ensuring revenue recognition and commissions are handled correctly, and documenting internal controls. Additionally, the Controller will monitor inventory, oversee regulatory reporting for taxes and compliance, ensure international compliance, review payroll and account reconciliations, and communicate accounting priorities cross-functionally.
