Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA preferred
8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a minimum of 4-5 years specifically in a Controller or Senior Accounting role within a SaaS company
3-5 years of people management experience
Demonstrated expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition principles and their application in a SaaS environment
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
Proven ability to manage and optimize accounting processes and internal controls
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced proficiency in Excel
Ability to grow and develop a team
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with a high-growth SaaS startup
Familiarity with billing and subscription management platforms
Experience with international operations and multi-currency accounting

Responsibilities

Lead and manage all general accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, payroll, and fixed asset management
Spearhead the accurate and timely recognition of SaaS revenue in accordance with ASC 606 standards and other applicable GAAP pronouncements
Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls and accounting policies to ensure financial integrity and compliance
Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
Prepare and analyze comprehensive financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities, providing actionable insights for leadership
Collaborate closely with sales, operations, and product teams to ensure accurate billing, invoicing, and contract management
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department, including automation of processes and optimization of financial systems
Manage external audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team
