Requirements

  • 10+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a high-growth startup or fintech environment
  • CPA and 4+ years of audit experience with established CPA firms strongly preferred
  • Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial controls, and reporting requirements
  • Experience with accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks) and financial automation tools
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented with a hands-on approach in a fast-paced startup environment

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, financial reporting, and reconciliations
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP, ASC 606 and other accounting and regulatory requirements
  • Manage audits, tax compliance and external financial relationships
  • Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs
  • Ensure that accounts payable, accounts receivables, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, payroll, and tax transactions are administered and organized timely and properly
  • Support the executive team with accounting strategies and financial insights to drive decision-making
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline financial workflows and improve reporting efficiencies
  • Lead and mentor a growing finance and accounting team
