Requirements

10+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a high-growth startup or fintech environment
CPA and 4+ years of audit experience with established CPA firms strongly preferred
Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial controls, and reporting requirements
Experience with accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks) and financial automation tools
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders
Detail-oriented with a hands-on approach in a fast-paced startup environment

Responsibilities

Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, financial reporting, and reconciliations
Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements
Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP, ASC 606 and other accounting and regulatory requirements
Manage audits, tax compliance and external financial relationships
Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs
Ensure that accounts payable, accounts receivables, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, payroll, and tax transactions are administered and organized timely and properly
Support the executive team with accounting strategies and financial insights to drive decision-making
Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline financial workflows and improve reporting efficiencies
Lead and mentor a growing finance and accounting team
