Requirements

Candidates must possess a CPA, with Big 4 experience strongly preferred, and have over 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including 3-5 years in a leadership role. Experience at a high-growth tech company is strongly preferred, along with a deep understanding of US GAAP, technical accounting, and SEC reporting. Proficiency with ERP and reporting systems, such as QuickBooks and NetSuite, is required, and experience implementing or optimizing these systems is preferred. Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and detail-oriented skills are essential.

Responsibilities

The Controller will lead general ledger accounting operations, oversee monthly/quarterly close processes with flux analyses and reconciliations, and manage financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP and internal standards. Responsibilities include enhancing the close process through automation, providing expertise in technical accounting, and overseeing accounting for prepaids, accruals, capitalized software, and equity. The role also involves managing tax compliance, establishing internal controls and accounting policies, partnering with other departments for financial insights, supporting external audits, and overseeing ERP and accounting systems for improvements and automation. Additionally, the Controller will mentor and develop the accounting team.
