Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role. A deep understanding of GAAP and financial reporting is essential, along with proficiency in accounting software like NetSuite or QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel skills. The ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment is also required. Experience in a SaaS or fast-growing company and a CPA license are considered bonus points.
The Accounting Manager will oversee daily accounting operations and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, managing the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process. Responsibilities include managing core accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, as well as implementing and maintaining internal controls and accounting policies. The role involves serving as the main point of contact for external auditors and tax consultants, preparing necessary documentation, and managing the audit process. Additionally, the manager will lead or assist in the implementation of new financial systems, develop and maintain accounting policies, and mentor accounting staff.
