Requirements

  • Report to the office every Tuesday and Wednesday each week and two Thursdays per month (Hybrid Work Model)
  • Located in Woonsocket, RI or other approved Hub (e.g., Hartford, CT)

Responsibilities

  • Draft, prepare, and review contract documents in accordance with established company policies and procedures to minimize potential exposure while maximizing benefits
  • Negotiate all key terms of a variety of contract documents, including legal and business terms, to provide appropriate risk mitigation and value for the enterprise
  • Analyze contract requirements, special provisions, terms, and conditions to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, corporate policies, and business unit procedures
  • Perform work on special projects as assigned by management with direct line of sight to senior leadership
  • Implement change and lead larger projects by managing a larger group of Contract Analysts for highly visible engagements
  • Effectively communicate the importance and intent of required terms and conditions to internal and external stakeholders
  • Regularly communicate with internal team members and business partners to draft and negotiate pertinent provisions and accurately memorialize terms into scopes of work, service level agreements, financial incentives, turn-around-times, or similar documents
  • Interact consistently with key CVS subject matter experts (e.g., Legal, Sourcing (IT and Non-IT), Global Security, Information Governance, Risk Management, Privacy, Tax, Finance areas) to ensure policies and procedures are reflected in contract documents and vendor communications
  • Partner with Sourcing colleagues to support development of RFP requests by providing contractual documentation, answering questions from participants' legal counsel, and ensuring problematic provisions are raised for internal consideration
  • Support the CVS Health enterprise in drafting, negotiating, and finalizing IT and Non-IT deals and contractual documents for non-merchandise goods and services in accordance with corporate contract and purchasing policies
  • Lead and/or represent Enterprise Procurement on project teams involving CVS senior leadership for enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, savings initiatives, policy enforcement, regulatory compliance, business goals, supplier diversity, and supplier integration for mergers and acquisitions
