Requirements

2–3 years of relevant experience in commercial contracting, with strong exposure to SaaS and cloud agreements
Experience at a law firm and/or as in-house counsel at a technology/software/cloud company (global experience a plus)
Solid knowledge of contract law and key issues in licensing, distribution, and intellectual property
Demonstrated ability to draft and negotiate complex agreements with confidence and professionalism
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly to non-lawyers
Law degree from an accredited university and admission to practice in at least one jurisdiction
Detail-oriented, organized, and motivated to learn
Hands-on, dependable, and results-driven, with a strong sense of ownership
Collaborative and team-focused, committed to supporting colleagues and building positive working relationships
Adaptable and resilient, able to handle shifting priorities with urgency and focus

Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including SaaS and cloud agreements, reseller/distributor/OEM agreements, software licenses, intellectual property partnerships, data center agreements, and professional services agreements
Partner with stakeholders across the business to ensure agreements are clear, accurate, and aligned with company policies and risk tolerance
Translate legal concepts into practical advice for business partners, including guidance on contract structures, approval processes, and compliance requirements
Maintain and update contract templates and playbooks; help improve contract management processes
Assist in developing and implementing corporate policies, procedures, and training on contracting best practices
Review non-standard agreements to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements
