Senior Contracts Manager/Counsel

Candidates must maintain an active relationship with Jesus Christ and support the ministry through prayer and actions, possess a Juris Doctorate, and hold an active license to practice law in Virginia or the ability to obtain licensure within six months, along with an active license in Alabama preferred. They should have at least three years of experience as a Contracts Attorney or in a related legal role, preferably in a nonprofit environment, and demonstrate exceptional negotiation and communication skills, along with a strong understanding of contract law and commercial terms.
The Contracts Attorney will draft and review contracts including independent contractor agreements, purchase agreements, and other legal documents, negotiate contract terms with internal clients, vendors, and other parties, provide legal advice on contract interpretation and obligations, ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, identify and mitigate potential legal risks within contractual agreements, create contract templates as requested, conduct legal research to support contract negotiations, resolve contract-related disputes, and maintain organized records of contract documents. They will also collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information for contract development and draft legal memoranda at the General Counsel’s request.
