Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent practical experience, and a minimum of 3 years of successful execution in continuous improvement, enabling efficiency, effectiveness, and tangible financial benefit. 3+ years of demonstrated experience with continuous improvement programs, tools, methodologies, and lean principles are required, along with experience in problem-solving techniques such as A3’s, 5 Why, 8D’s, and Fishbone diagrams. Lean, Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is preferred, and experience within transactional processes and the manufacturing industry is also desired.
The Continuous Improvement Associate will support the development and implementation of continuous improvement projects aligned with the strategic plan, working with area leaders to identify and sustain changes, reduce waste, and improve efficiencies. They will identify opportunities for continuous improvement through idea generation, leading projects, investigating data, and supporting savings opportunities. The role involves mobilizing problem-solving teams, facilitating Value Stream Maps, Kaizen events, and training workshops, ensuring updated process documentation and Standard Work are implemented, sharing best practices, and acting as a change agent to drive continuous improvements across the organization. Participation in multiple projects leveraging Lean Six Sigma methodologies to solve problems and build new capabilities is expected, along with involvement in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities and performing other duties as assigned.
