Snowflake is building the future of the AI Data Cloud. This Technical Curriculum Developer role is responsible for designing and developing quality certification and modular content for both internal and external audiences. The role focuses on curriculum design, development, and program management, with up to 3 weeks per quarter of classroom training delivery. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Generative AI and will play a pivotal part in our enablement strategy by building high-impact learning experiences that reflect cutting-edge technical capabilities and real-world application. This role is 100% remote and can be based anywhere in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop innovative learning solutions applying adult learning principles and systematic instructional design to create content for online, classroom, virtual instructor-led training, and blended learning.
- Lead the creation and distribution of technical courseware at Snowflake, including developing exercises, tutorials, job aids, assessments, and other learning methods like social or connected learning strategies and multimedia-based assets.
- Design curriculum that supports hands-on learning in domains such as data science workflows, machine learning model development, and practical applications of Generative AI using Snowflake and partner technologies.
- Collaborate effectively with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand the needs of partners, customers, and employees.
- Design and develop aesthetically superb technical diagrams and content templates adhering to the highest standards of branding and quality.
- Translate complex technical concepts, including statistical models, ML pipelines, and GenAI services, into accurate and impactful visual aids.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in curriculum design/development.
- 3-5+ years of experience in programming, systems architecture, or database systems.
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing instructional materials for technical audiences.
- Strong foundational understanding of data science methodologies, including supervised/unsupervised learning, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
- Experience designing content or training programs that incorporate or explain machine learning tools, frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch), or GenAI technologies (e.g., LLMs, prompt engineering, AI/ML use cases in enterprise).
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and the ability to incorporate them into curriculum.
- Professional experience using e-learning software (Articulate, Captivate, or similar) and Cornerstone LMS (or similar).
- Experience using video editing tools (Final Cut, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Camtasia or similar).
- Demonstrated hands-on knowledge of e-learning and video editing tools, virtual instructor-led training tools, and social learning tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including collaborating with subject matter experts and managers to write, design, develop, and manage technical content projects.
Preferred Skills
- 5-9 years of experience in curriculum design and development.
- Experience designing and developing content for technical certifications.
- Hands-on experience with data science toolkits (e.g., Python, Jupyter, SQL, Pandas) or cloud-based ML platforms (e.g., Snowpark for Python, SageMaker, Vertex AI).
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
- 1-5 years of software programming experience.
- 2 or more years of experience creating assessments.
