Candidates must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in pre-sales or post-sales technical roles, with at least 5 years in people management, including mentoring and developing teams. A minimum of 5 years of experience selling professional services, including project scoping and statement of work creation, is required. Extensive knowledge of large-scale database technologies such as Oracle, Teradata, Netezza, or Greenplum, and experience with non-relational platforms like Hadoop is necessary. Familiarity with data integration tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend), BI tools (e.g., Tableau), and strong SQL and data analytics skills are essential. A university degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is expected. The role requires outstanding presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences, an understanding of the complete data analytics stack, and scripting experience with Python, Ruby, Perl, or Bash. Ability to travel up to 25% of the time is also a requirement.
The Consulting Manager will lead and develop a team of Snowflake implementation, optimization, and delivery experts, mentoring Solutions Architects and Consultants. Responsibilities include playing an active role in candidate sourcing, screening, and managing the interview process. The manager will serve as a technical expert on Snowflake, provide delivery quality oversight, and ensure adherence to best practices. Collaboration with Professional Services Practice Directors and Sales Account Teams on sales pursuits, including scoping projects, assessing code, pricing services, and creating statements of work, is key. Developing methodologies to improve service delivery and providing guidance on resolving customer technical challenges are also important duties. Furthermore, the role involves collaborating with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to enhance Snowflake products and presenting methodologies and capabilities to internal teams, partners, and customers.
