Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in residential home construction as a Project Superintendent or Project Manager
  • Deep understanding of the Los Angeles construction market
  • Ability to manage schedules for multiple homes in different stages of construction
  • Experience coordinating with Procurement Teams
  • Experience with project management software
  • Ability to inspect projects weekly in accordance with safety programs
  • Experience working with Superintendents to ensure accurate scopes of work and construction quality
  • Ability to maintain electronic project records
  • Experience initiating and processing changes in scope of work, plans, and specifications
  • Familiarity with operational processes around communication, change management, and project financial management

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coordinate, and direct all aspects of residential new construction projects
  • Manage the concurrent construction operations of up to 45 single-family homes
  • Report to the Director of Construction Operations on project health
  • Advise the team on strategies to keep projects on plan or get them back on track
  • Utilize Homebound’s proprietary project management software
  • Coordinate with the Procurement Team to ensure projects are bought-out with necessary resources
  • Inspect projects weekly in accordance with Homebound’s safety program
  • Work with Superintendents to ensure accurate scopes of work and construction quality
  • Maintain electronic project records
  • Initiate and process changes in the scope of work, plans, and specifications
  • Follow detailed operational processes around communication, change management, and project financial management
  • Approve trade partner invoices with regard to work completeness and quality
  • Review daily activity logs of all activities on the job sites
  • Advise on plans and specifications
  • Report to the Director of Construction Operations on project performance, including schedules, budgets, and safety conditions
  • Participate in client walks with the Project Team
