Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Building Construction, Architecture, Engineering, or a closely related field and five years of responsible experience as an owner’s representative, project facilitator, construction manager, or design and construction contracting experience. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, are required, along with the ability to effectively facilitate meetings. Experience coordinating with project stakeholders, contractors, architects, and engineers during all construction project phases is necessary. Experience reviewing design document submittals, cost and schedule estimates, collecting, preparing, and reporting programmatic information, and compiling and managing cost proposals are also required. Fluency in project management principles and the ability to implement them effectively is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and experience with industry project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, SharePoint, etc. is preferred. An Active PMP, CCM and/or CQM certification credential is highly preferred but not required.
The Construction Project Manager will manage the activities of construction projects, including planning, developing, implementing, and ensuring successful completion through the efficient use of existing workforce, equipment, and contractors. They will also be responsible for coordinating with project stakeholders, contractors, architects, and engineers during all construction project phases, reviewing design document submittals, reviewing cost and schedule estimates, collecting, preparing, and reporting programmatic information, and compiling and managing cost proposals. Furthermore, they will generate and negotiate change proposals and analyze all relevant project-related information to communicate project status and issues effectively.
