Candidates must possess a High School Diploma and a minimum of three years of experience in water/wastewater heavy civil project construction. A valid driver’s license is required, and NASSCO PACP certification, a Water Distribution Operator license in Georgia, and 40-hour OSHA training are considered advantageous.
The Construction Inspector will serve as the on-site liaison with clients and the community, maintain excellent client relations, conduct field inspections, coordinate and communicate with contractors regarding construction project activity, record daily inspection reports, monitor construction operations for compliance with permits, organize and maintain construction documentation using a cloud-based document control interface, develop a detailed understanding of plans and specifications, assist the Project Manager with interpreting contract requirements, review shop drawings, address field changes, lead or assist with Requests for Information responses, assist with the Engineer’s response to contract claims, identify and mitigate potential project risks, review and understand construction CPM schedules, attend project meetings, maintain a safe working environment, and participate in seminars and training courses.
