Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and a minimum of ten years of experience with water/wastewater civil projects, with preference for experience in the Tampa area working with specified clients. Trench and Safety and 40 Hour OSHA training are considered a plus, along with excellent communication skills and self-motivation.
The Construction Engineer will act as the on-site liaison with clients and the community, conduct field inspections, coordinate and communicate with contractors, and monitor construction operations. They will also review and prepare inspection daily reports, organize and maintain construction documentation, assist Project Manager with contract requirements, develop a detailed understanding of plans and specifications, and lead or assist with Requests for Information responses. Furthermore, the role involves coordinating in-office services, reviewing shop drawings, identifying and mitigating project risks, assisting with claims analysis, and attending or facilitating project meetings.
