Requirements

  • Extensive and active network with top-tier conservative thought leaders, influencers, political decision makers, and organizations
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, demonstrating clarity, persuasion, and effectiveness across a diversity of channels
  • Strong political and cultural fluency, with a nuanced understanding of a diversity of conservative perspectives and communities
  • Ability to conceptualize, develop, and run external affairs events (VIP dinners, conferences, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to engage constructively across differences
  • Strong strategic storytelling, and the ability to build influence and credibility with conservative communities
  • Strategic planning and management ability, with a proven ability to provide cross-functional leadership, performance measurement, and stakeholder engagement
  • Minimum 5 years experience in external affairs, public relations, or a leadership role in the conservative community
  • At least 5+ years of management and strategic leadership experience
  • Proven success managing or building conservative networks
  • Experience working on conservative influence campaigns
  • Experience running external affairs events (VIP dinners, conferences, etc.)
  • Experience with outreach and storytelling on social media (plus)
  • Experience leading a team (plus)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an external communications strategy that builds trust and engagement with key conservative influencers
  • Develop strategic partnerships with conservative advocacy groups, policy organizations, NGOs, leaders, influencers, and political decisionmakers who can shape public perception and broaden Change.org’s reach and impact
  • Prepare for brand opportunities and reputational risks in the conservative space
  • Advise senior leadership team on strategic opportunities in the broader conservative landscape
