Requirements

  • Two to four years of experience in a law firm or as in-house counsel, preferably with knowledge of multi-jurisdictional international issues
  • Extensive commercial experience, with indispensable extensive experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, terms, and similar agreements
  • Professional mastery of English
  • Ease in communicating with colleagues and stakeholders at different levels, with diverse professional and cultural profiles

Responsibilities

  • Draft and negotiate commercial contracts with clients, strategic partners, and suppliers
  • Provide commercial legal and general advice to key stakeholders across all Lightspeed services
  • Train colleagues and stakeholder groups on legal elements to watch for
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses and ensure the execution of complex, cross-functional, or multi-jurisdictional projects
  • Manage inquiries and requests from regulatory bodies and government authorities, as needed
  • Support the management of litigation and other disputes, as needed
  • Establish and improve systems and processes used by the Commercial Litigation team
