Requirements

  • Member of the bar in at least one U.S. State
  • At least 7 years of combined law firm and in-house legal department experience, with at least 4 years in-house (or 7+ years in-house) at B2B SaaS companies negotiating sell-side B2B SaaS Agreements, DPAs, and partnership agreements with Fortune 500 clients
  • Great sense of business, balancing risk, and communicating well with the legal team
  • Skilled at building relationships with non-lawyers (especially Sales, Professional Services, Security, Finance, Deal Desk, and Infrastructure teams)
  • Experience working closely with sales teams, with a passion for ensuring sales organization success and profitable achievement of sales goals
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of multiple demanding projects; responsive, proactive, and supportive of team members
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and outstanding attention to detail
  • Proficient with Google Docs, Gmail, Word, Adobe Acrobat Pro, DocuSign, Salesforce, CLM, and other Legal Ops tools, and Slack

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate technology contracts of all types and other legal documents, including SaaS agreements, DPAs, BAAs, Security Addenda, Referral/Reseller/VAR/Strategic Partnership Agreements, and Vendor contracts (often on client/partner paper, including conference call negotiations)
  • Collaborate with internal business clients and cross-functional stakeholders, including Sales, Support, Professional Services, Security, Finance, People Team, and OrderOps
  • Help create/update playbooks and robust legal collaboration processes
  • Work asynchronously as part of a fully-remote, distributed team
