Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Education, Criminal Justice, Family Studies, Counseling, Recreational Therapy, Human Services, Human Development, Child Development, Gerontology, Behavioral Science, or Rehabilitation Counseling
  • OR Associate of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support degree from an approved institution
  • OR Four years of qualifying work experience in a related human services field (e.g., case management, residential support, developmentally disabled support, vocational rehabilitation), or a combination of education and experience equaling four years

Responsibilities

  • Deliver community-based mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults through assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and intervention
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with clients, families, and stakeholders
  • Apply evidence-based techniques such as Motivational Interviewing, CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed strategies
  • Facilitate behavioral interventions using interpersonal and group dynamics, operant conditioning, and cognitive processing
  • Coordinate care with other service providers including physicians, therapists, schools, and agencies
  • Facilitate and prepare PSR group sessions aligned with treatment plan goals
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of services provided
  • Participate in team-based care and support coordination with case managers, therapists, and staff
  • Build positive relationships with clients, families, teachers, counselors, and key stakeholders
  • Engage in professional development and quality improvement activities
  • Provide ACT, ACT TAY, or IMPART services if applicable
