Responsibilities
Develop and maintain favorable relationships with the surrounding community
Implement and coordinate programs to promote goodwill by disseminating information to the community and soliciting feedback from stakeholders
Represent Eversource at community gatherings or forums
Serve as a point of contact for government officials, economic development agencies, business leaders, non-profit, and community organizations
Educate the company on community viewpoints to accomplish business objectives and ensure favorable support from municipalities and communities
Support economic growth through regional, state, and local economic development initiatives, engagement with the business community, and building public/private partnerships
Work with the Community Relations Team to implement strategies for community/municipal outreach, relationship development, emergency preparedness/response, economic development, corporate giving, and employee engagement/volunteerism/business memberships
Identify and support initiatives, proposals, concerns, or issues related to the company’s reputation, including project timing/coordination and partnering on economic development
Share municipal/community knowledge with internal partners to support project outcomes, balancing company and community needs in meetings, briefings, and municipal forums
Participate in working with community, business, and civic organizations to build positive relationships and partnerships
Identify corporate giving opportunities, solicit/screen/recommend grant awards to build communities, increase visibility, and support company priorities
Ensure timely communications with municipal leaders on siting, permitting, construction, and maintenance activities for transmission, distribution, vegetation, and reliability projects
Monitor and analyze local government policy changes, elections, ordinances, board/council activities, and serve as liaison to Eversource colleagues for timely awareness
