Influencer and Community Strategist

Reports to: Director, Organic Social Media Marketing Location: Remote US Compensation Range: $95,000 to $110,000 base plus bonus and equity

What We Do:

Huntress is a fully remote, global team of passionate experts and ethical badasses on a mission to break down the barriers to cybersecurity. Whether creating purpose-built security solutions, hunting down hackers, or impacting our community, our people go above and beyond to change the security game and make a real difference.

Founded in 2015 by former NSA cyber operators, Huntress protects all businesses—not just the 1%—with enterprise-grade, fully owned, and managed cybersecurity products at the price of an affordable SaaS application. The Huntress difference is our One Team advantage: our technology is designed with our industry-defining Security Operations Center (SOC) in mind and is never separated from our service.

We protect 3M+ endpoints and 1M+ identities worldwide, elevating underresourced IT teams with protection that works as hard as they do. As long as hackers keep hacking, Huntress keeps hunting.

What You’ll Do:

Huntress is looking for an Influencer and Community Strategist to lead our presence in the digital conversations that happen beyond our owned channels — across Reddit, Discord, Slack groups, dark social platforms, and niche online communities. This role is equal parts relationship builder, storyteller, and strategist — engaging with practitioners, creators, and advocates where they naturally gather and shaping how Huntress shows up in their world.

You’ll identify and activate the right voices to amplify our brand, while owning day-to-day community engagement and tracking insights that inform content, campaigns, and messaging. You’ll also lead our employee advocacy program and build repeatable systems to turn community stories into social currency.

This is a strategic, creative role for someone who knows how to move in digital spaces with credibility, curiosity, and confidence, especially in the cybersecurity or IT world.

Responsibilities:

Community Management & Engagement

  • Actively monitor and participate in dark social platforms and private communities to engage authentically, build trust, respond to brand mentions in real time, and amplify high-value conversations that shape brand perception and loyalty.

Influencer Strategy & Activation

  • Identify and build relationships with creators and influencers across relevant sectors, leading co-marketing efforts to translate these relationships into measurable brand growth by forecasting performance, estimating costs, and tracking impact over time.

Content & Creative Collaboration

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to co-develop social-first, authentic, and platform-native content, including on-camera appearances, that reflects community insights and transforms real-world or real-time moments into compelling social storytelling opportunities.

Employee Advocacy

  • Own the employee advocacy program, which involves surfacing stories from across the company and enabling team members to easily and confidently amplify the brand through created toolkits, templates, and internal communications.

Insights & Reporting

  • Track and report on community engagement, dark social conversations, and influencer performance, sharing monthly insights with stakeholders to highlight opportunities for organic growth, partnerships, or content pivots.

What You Bring To The Team:

  • 4+ years of experience in social media, community management, product marketing, security analysis, or influencer strategy.
  • Proven ability to engage and grow communities in technical, trust-based environments.
  • Deep familiarity with Reddit, Discord, Slack, Twitch, and emerging creator platforms.
  • Strong understanding of the cybersecurity or IT landscape, or the ability to quickly ramp up and engage credibly in those spaces.
  • Confident and comfortable on camera.
