- Bachelor’s degree in Management or a relevant field preferred
- 3-5 years’ experience in a supervisory role
- 3-5 years’ experience in insurance
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Knowledge of SharePoint Designer and InfoPath
- Familiarity with Adobe Pro
- Experience with SharePoint Online and Office 365
- Experience with insurance agency management software/system (Vertafore, AMS360)
- Instructional experience in a group business setting
- Strong understanding of business goals and standards for customer service
- Ability to analyze company needs, employee development, and goal setting
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and other departments
- Strong technical proficiency in Commercial Lines coverage with a thorough understanding of industry forms, policies and a comprehensive understanding of the insurance marketplace
- Well informed on the policies and expectations of the company
Responsibilities
- Ensure a positive experience for the customer by coaching and managing other employees
- Assist with the execution of daily operations by overseeing staff training and team building exercises of the Commercial Lines Department
- Actively seeks to resolve any concerns while adhering to company policy and standards
- Ensure company goals and objectives are being met by each employee and provide constructive feedback
- Address customer concerns about policies, services rendered, or employee interactions
- Train new employees on company standards and procedures, including handling negative client experiences and proper client interactions
- Stay abreast of current market conditions while meeting client needs and maintaining consistency within the department’s book of business
- Manage time and attendance for direct reports
- Stay abreast of expiration, A/R, and other quality assurance control for direct reports
