High school diploma or equivalent basic academic education
Ten plus years general business experience as well as specialized experience in collections, banking systems, and payment processing
Strong knowledge and understanding of FIS loan and deposit screens
Above average independence, ability to handle very high severity problems, and negotiate payments with significant impact on bank's financial results
Ability to plan, organize, and lay out work at own discretion with required judgment

Responsibilities

Identify daily past due loan issues (e.g., insufficient funds, incorrect postings) and process payment waivers for Managed Assets
Respond to senior manager and executive inquiries on past due reports
Contact customers by phone/email to secure commitments for loan payments
Professionally interact with management, employees, and Special Assets customers
Provide concierge care for Commercial Banking VIP customers (e.g., deposits, wire transfers, verifications)
Communicate information on seriously delinquent loans to appropriate loan officers for decision-making
Serve as backup for administrative personnel within the department
Provide consistent, superior quality customer service to internal and external customers
Prepare, type, and send letters, memos, notices, and other correspondences
Process daily detailed wire transfers, advances, and online transfers
Assist Special Asset Officers with loan closings, funding, and customer inquiries
Assist department management in responding to legal actions (e.g., document retrieval, coordination, collation, IT interactions)
Assist in transferring accounts to and from Managed Assets
Process payments and payoffs; prepare GL tickets for transactions in FTM and Converge
Work within SAM system to complete workflows (e.g., monthly/quarterly charge-offs, CAR reports)
Backup on Daily Risk Rating Report
Perform secretarial duties (e.g., meeting arrangements, answering phones, ordering supplies, filing, appointments)
Coordinate quarterly Managed Assets Committee and Criticized Asset Committee schedules; assign accounts/documents, prepare/distribute packets via Teams
Assist customers in resolving loan and deposit account issues
Maintain and update Special Assets Home Page on the Intranet
Assist in note sales (e.g., gather/collate documentation, package for delivery, image files, process transaction slips)
Perform recovery activities on delinquent accounts per Bank and legal guidelines (state/federal regulations)
Ensure operation of Managed/Special Asset Division functions
Perform additional duties as required
