Requirements

Candidates should possess a High School Diploma or GED, and ideally an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree. Strong communication skills, both oral and written, are essential, along with the ability to adapt communication styles to various customer situations. Proficiency in Google Suite applications and/or Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) is required, and experience with SAP is preferred.

Responsibilities

The Collections Specialist will manage and reconcile an account portfolio, prioritizing collections and identifying accounts at risk of delinquency. They will resolve customer account issues, including past due invoices and negotiate payment settlements. Collaboration with Cash Applications, Dispute Management, and Special Handling teams will be necessary to resolve unpaid cash and customer disputes. The role involves initiating reviews of final demand notices and outside collections, and informing regional managers of issues. Additionally, the specialist will maintain professional relationships with branch managers and account managers, and assist in resolving non-payment issues.
