Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures (20%)
  • Calibrate hatchers and setters (15%)
  • Change and clean setter and hatcher spray nozzles (10%)
  • Do temperature checks on setters before eggs are set and assist with setting eggs (10%)
  • Ensure all setter buggies are correctly placed, curtains in right position, air lines hooked correctly, and buggies connected (15%)
  • Conduct equipment service per PM schedule and maintain the PM program (20%)
  • Calibrate pumps for dispensing chemicals and change single and three-phase motors as needed (10%)
  • Assist with emptying offal tank, maintain foot pans and hand sanitizer, maintain clean and organized work area, maintain vap coolers (10%)
  • Order supplies and maintain inventory
  • Perform housekeeping to maintain safe and orderly work environment
  • Coordinate major repairs with external vendors
  • Other duties as assigned, such as on-call duties, operating high pressure and regular water hoses, monitoring machines, maintaining clean and organized work area (10%)
