Requirements

  • At least six consecutive months of work experience with the same employer and no additional gaps in employment greater than six months in the last 36 months (exceptions for lay-off, eldercare/childcare up to 18 months, or full-time students in the last 36 months)
  • Reside in the United States
  • Previous agricultural or production experience preferred
  • Willing to shower, change clothing and footwear before entering the biosecure facility (company provides appropriate clothing and footwear)
  • No jewelry except medical ID; body piercings covered by clothing
  • Willing to sign agreement to avoid avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.)
  • Willing to sign and abide by Company Biosecurity and Animal Welfare Guidelines
  • Able to perform physical demands: use safe lifting techniques, regularly pull empty farm and setter buggies weighing ~200 pounds on casters, regularly dump cull eggs weighing ~12 pounds (with or without reasonable accommodation)

Responsibilities

  • Cleans and sanitizes the hatchery with a pressure washer (55%)
  • Places approximately 1,500 chick boxes weighing an average of 2 pounds into washer to be washed and sanitized (25%)
  • Washes and sanitizes the dirty side box room with a pressure washer (5%)
  • Cleans rooftop units (5%)
  • Other duties as assigned, such as pulling empty farm and setter buggies to the Egg Room, washing and sanitizing the pull room with a pressure washer, and reading setters (10%)
