High school diploma or GED
5+ years of coating experience
Experience with forklifts and other departmental equipment, machines, hand tools, and power tools needed for assembly
Experience with coating equipment, preferably gas turbine equipment
In-depth knowledge of gas turbines

Responsibilities

Have knowledge of coating operations, coating equipment, fixtures, and parameters for the coating process for various gas turbine components
Have the ability to prepare, mask, and grit blast components to the appropriate surface finish
Have the ability to coat parts both via plasma and HVOF processes with various powders and properly collect all required samples
Have the ability to run robotic programs and controls as required and program from scratch
Having equipment knowledge to properly maintain the coating booth in top operating condition and possess good troubleshooting skills to quickly diagnose and resolve any issues
Working closely with engineers, repair technicians, and machinists to apply the appropriate amount of coating to meet all requirements
Operating forklifts, cranes, and other material-moving equipment
Have the ability to perform various other assembly and repair duties in a turbine repair shop when the coating cell is not in use
