Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • CNC machining experience (Aerospace experience is a plus)
  • Familiarity with 3, 4-Axis or similar CNC multi-axis machines
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and operation sheets
  • Experience with precision measuring tools
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Basic math skills
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities

  • Set-up and operate CNC turning machines to machine aerospace tubes, ducts and details
  • Perform tasks such as drilling, grinding and milling
  • Translate instructions into computer commands for the machines to perform the correct function
  • Perform offset adjustments
  • Prepare and load raw material and parts
  • Prepare a test run
  • Set machines to complete full cycles
  • Supervise machines while cycling, making any necessary adjustments
  • Inspect and measure finished products using calipers, height gages, micrometers
