Requirements

Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in CNC programming, preferably in a high-precision manufacturing environment such as aerospace or defense. Experience with CNC mills, lathes, routers, and other precision machines is required. Familiarity with autonomous systems, maritime technology, or defense industry standards is a plus. Proficiency in CAD/CAM software like Mastercam, Fusion 360, or SolidWorks is essential, along with a strong understanding of G-code, M-code, and other CNC programming languages. Knowledge of various machining processes and tooling is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The CNC Programmer will write, test, and optimize CNC programs for milling, turning, and other machining processes for complex components used in autonomous maritime systems. They will utilize CAD/CAM software to generate efficient toolpaths, assist in setting up and operating CNC machines, and interpret engineering drawings to develop accurate programs. The role includes performing in-process inspections, collaborating with quality control teams, and working closely with design engineers and production staff to optimize manufacturability. Additionally, the programmer will continuously evaluate manufacturing processes for improvements, maintain documentation of programs and setups, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
