Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Certification from an accredited technical college a plus
  • Minimum 1 year of progressively responsible milling experience, aerospace industry a plus
  • Possess basic math and geometry knowledge with elementary knowledge of engineering principles helpful
  • Be able to read blueprints, follow work orders, and verbal instructions
  • U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., or protected individual as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15)
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify)

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment such as CNC machines, milling machines, and end mills to produce manufactured parts primarily out of aluminum and titanium
  • Take measurements to adequately ensure the accurate set-up, using tools such as gauges, calipers, indicators, and micrometers
  • Maintain specifications by observing drilling and cutting; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting controls; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes
  • Set up and troubleshoot 5-axis machines for large complex parts
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Maintain quality and safety standards; keep records; maintain equipment and supplies
