Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in set-up and operation of CNC machines
  • Experience machining aluminum, stainless, titanium, or Inconel
  • Experience with 5-axis DMG Mori machines
  • Experience reading blueprints, part drawings, and schematics
  • Siemens controls experience (preferred)
  • CNC programming experience (preferred)
  • Experience machining metal 3D printed parts (preferred)
  • Experience designing, setting up, and working with complex fixtures for precision machining of high-tolerance parts (preferred)
  • NTMA machinist certification (preferred)
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments (preferred)
  • Ability to utilize power tools, hand tools, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy equipment (preferred)
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 30lbs unassisted (preferred)
  • Ability to climb ladders and be on your feet for extended periods of time (preferred)
  • Must be available and willing to work overtime when needed (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Set-up, run, and operate programs on CNC machines (DMG Mori and Haas) for complex parts
  • Complete machining operations from blueprints, drawings and/or schematics under tight tolerances
  • Perform on-machine deburr as well as manual deburr as needed
  • Inspect parts with on-machine probing as well as with manual tools such as micrometers, thread gauges, and indicators
  • Perform machine preventative maintenance and manage cutting fluid
  • Take part in process improvement projects and help in constantly improving processes and the shop
