Requirements

Candidates must possess at least 6 years of experience with Java, proficiency in distributed NoSQL databases such as HBase, Accumulo, or Big Table, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or 4 additional years of relevant experience. Familiarity with MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, Pig, and HDFS is required, along with experience in designing and developing automated analytic software and deploying data-driven and event-driven analytics. Knowledge of serialization data interchange formats like JSON and BSON, distributed scalable Big Data Stores, and object-oriented design and development is also necessary.

Responsibilities

As a Cloud Software Engineer 2, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying automated analytic software to support data-driven analytics, working with distributed, scalable big data stores and leveraging cloud technologies. You will develop and deploy analytics using Pig, PySpark, and Piranhas, integrating and extending FOSS/COTS products, documenting data models and technical specifications, and collaborating in an Agile environment to deliver cloud-based solutions. Additionally, you will design and deploy analytics that discover and exploit social networks, and work with Hadoop, Hive, and HDFS to implement scalable solutions.
