Cloud Platform Engineer

Position Overview

Acronis is revolutionizing cyber protection by providing natively integrated, all-in-one solutions that monitor, control, and protect the data businesses and lives depend on. We are seeking a dedicated Cloud Platform Engineer to join our growing team and contribute to creating a #CyberFit future. This role involves working within a mixed technology platform, including virtualised environments and traditional data center infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in Ansible automation, Kubernetes container orchestration, Linux administration, and bash scripting.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage cloud platform infrastructure using Kubernetes and Ansible.
• Write, maintain, and troubleshoot bash scripts for automation and operations tasks.
• Reboot and manage virtual machines and Linux-based systems.
• Manage incidents promptly using PagerDuty to ensure minimal service disruptions.
• Participate actively in structured change management processes.
• Collaborate effectively with team members, clearly documenting processes and solutions.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues independently when established instructions are insufficient.

Requirements

• Proven experience with Ansible automation.
• Strong Kubernetes administration skills.
• Proficiency in bash scripting.
• Solid Linux administration knowledge.
• Experience managing virtualised environments (VMware, OpenStack, or similar).
• Experience with incident management tools such as PagerDuty.
• Familiarity with structured change management processes.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Self-driven with excellent problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
• Experience with ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
• Basic knowledge of network fundamentals.
• Experience with MySQL/Patroni/Postgres.

Work Schedule

• Employment Type: Full-time
• Location Type: Remote
• Availability: 10:00 AM GMT-7 to 11:00 PM GMT-7
• Daily Hours: 8 hours within the specified availability window.
• Weekly Hours: 5 days a week.
• Shift Schedule: Rotates among the team, typically either Sunday - Thursday or Tuesday - Saturday.
