Requirements

Minimum of 5 to 6 years of experience in an Infrastructure role
Deep understanding of core AWS Cloud Services (EC2, EKS, VPC, IAM, Route 53, RDS, Lambda)
Experience with AWS microservices – Lambda / API Gateway, SQS, SNS
Knowledge of cloud monitoring tools such as Splunk, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail
Strong knowledge in containerization technologies like Kubernetes and Docker
Possession of the AWS Certified SysOps Engineer certification is advantageous
Capable of identifying and addressing critical security issues, implementing automation to prevent recurrence, and designing effective disaster recovery processes
Expertise in analyzing performance bottlenecks and optimizing software and system performance as an AWS subject matter expert
Windows/Linux operating system experience is a plus
Azure Cloud experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Work with System Architects to assist in the design and personally deliver infrastructure including compute, network, communications, and storage components
Regularly review monitoring data with the IS/Infrastructure leadership, utilizing AWS features like Trusted Advisor, Guard Duty, and Well-Architected tools to produce actionable plans
Participate in high-profile Delivery Projects, collaborating within a virtual team comprising members from Development, Support, Testing, and Service Desk
Implement automation solutions for the deployment of patches and routine maintenance across the entire organizational infrastructure
Collaborate with the Cyber Team to enhance the organization's security measures throughout the business, ensuring security and privacy are fundamental to all designs and deliverables
Keep abreast of best practices, emerging threats, and opportunities to enhance the program's performance, agility, and cost-effectiveness
