Requirements

  • Field-based position supporting Abbott’s Vascular division in Detroit, MI, with travel throughout the designated territory and Region as needed
  • Expertise in vessel closure products, including small and large bore arterial, venous, and future product releases
  • Focus on Electrophysiologists, Interventional Cardiologists, and hospital staff
  • Ability to serve as technical procedure and product expert in hospital settings (e.g., Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology Lab, Operating Room)
  • Skills in clinical education, sales support, presentations, and demonstrations using various formats (e.g., slides, transparencies, manuals)
  • Capability to develop relationships with hospital personnel, identify key decision makers, and meet with existing/potential customers (e.g., physicians, office groups)

Responsibilities

  • Provide case planning, case support coverage, and product pull-through throughout the designated territory and Region
  • Promote Vascular products through education, service, and training of customers in hospital settings to achieve sales goals, increase revenues, and market share, with heavy focus on Vessel Closure
  • Serve as primary resource for clinical support in case coverage, troubleshooting, and in-service education for company products
  • Meet with customers to identify clinical needs, goals, constraints, and demonstrate how products meet them
  • Develop relationships with hospital personnel and make new contacts in hospital departments
  • Educate customers on product merits, proper clinical usage, latest developments, therapies, technologies, and industry items via presentations and demonstrations
  • Attend clinical procedures to ensure customer and patient success with Vascular products
  • Respond to customer needs and complaints regarding products and service by developing solutions or collaborating with related personnel
